Hippo Pillow

Hello Dears,
the second gift I gave to my cousin (she has two daughters, so I made a present for the older too) is the  Hippo Pillow by One and Two Company (like Butterfly Mobile) . I had some difficult to make it because it is crocheted in two pieces (front and back) and I couldn't succeed to make them identical. But at the end I think I had a good result.

Ta-daaaaaah! Mrs Hippo on the chair :-D

Thank you for reading my blog!
Have a nice day, kisses !

Butterfly Mobile

Hello !
Since I live in this new house I'm not able to write posts...I don't know why..  but I have a lot of things to show you. In last months I made one knitted shawl (the first one!), a crochet shrug, a bikini for a friend of mine. Then I'm doing 2 little gifts for the children of my cousin and a catbed for Totoro ! So, I have a million of picture to updade!

Today I will show you the Butterfly Mobile  that I decided to give as a gift to my cousin for the birth of her second child, she is born some weeks ago. First of all I made the cloud (but I forgot to take a picture of it before I joined it to the butterflies).

Then I made the butterflies

And then I joined all the pieces

Do you like it? I think it is wonderful!

I say sorry to you all for my rare posts. I wish you a good and sunny week!
Thank you for reading my little blog!
See you !

Changes

Hi sweeties!

I'm back! Yesterday I passed my second last exam so I can update my blog again.

When we decide to look for a house where to live together we find a very very small two-roomed flat of 27 metres! Then we moved in another two-roomed flat of 50 metres and finally we find a bigger house, I think 100 metres more or less! With a balcony and a guest room (a single bed but it's a guest room!) !! This is a very big change for me! In addition to this, there is a wonderful haberdashery with lots of yarns in the same street of our home ^.^
We finished the move in the new -provisional- home (we think to stay here 1 year more or less, while looking for an house up for sale) and now I can have a rest for a little while :-)

At the moment the mess is to big to show you the house, but I will show you little details I found here once we came back from Parma..

My lovely mom hanged up these filet crochet curtains that my great grandmother crocheted several years ago (lot of years ago..), and she put some lavender on them..they are so cute, aren't they? and romantic !
And out of this window (it is in the kitchen) she put all the aromatic herbs I wanted to buy

oregano

majoram

 thyme

basil

sage

rosemary

I found also a half-full fridge, inclusive of ice cream and Kinder Cioccolato ^.^ . I was touched for her nice gesture, my mom has been so gentle that I think I will tattoo "I love mom" on my arm, like sailors!

I wish you a happy week and day,
see you soon for new project and pictures!

Uff

Good morning sweeties,

since yesterday I am on strike because of earthquake. I know the house where I live is safe, I know what to do in case of earthquake and it is not the first earthquake this year. But yesterday morning I was tooking a shower when the house trembled. And then while the pasta was on the fire, another strong shake. And another.
So I decided to go to the park, fortunately it was a sunny day. I slept very bad, now I can't calm down, so I am waiting the washing machine finish its work and the I will go out profit by another sunny day : pilates and the study in the park..and maybe some rows of crochet.

Have a nice day!
kisses from Italy

Wedding invitations #2

I thought maybe you would like to know what I used to make my invitations...I mean all the things. So I took some other pictures.

I went in a stamp shop and I asked if they could make the "grande giorno" stamp for me. The outside part is in plastic, and the stamp is made of silicone and it cost 14 euro.

In the same shop where I bought recycled paper and envelopes, I also bought the heat gun, powders and silicone moulds.

The heat gun

Here you can see the hearts plant and the heart I used on the cards

To use them  you have to put them on a rigid base, I bough this plastic base, but you can use also something like a ruler.

Red powder (Aladine) and  the white one (Artemio) are embossing powders, then embossing glue tone on tone (Top Boss Watermark)

These are all the things I used to prepare my weddings invitations.

Last year I bough also this silicone stamps because I think I can use them in future, the theme of this package is "hand-knitting" I can not buy it !

Have a nice day and week!
Kisses

Wedding Invitations

Hi Everybody!
We had a very fizzy nigth, with an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale! Today in the afternoon another one measuring 5.1... Stop it please!

I told you I will post my wedding invitations, I think it's time to do it :

I made 3 cards, one for the ceremony, one for the restaurant (very simple, not showed) and one for the confirmation (well, our guests can simply send us a mail  but it was funny :-) )

To make the white and red part I used a "magic powder" :
First of all I put the glue on the card with a  in - relief silicone mould

Then I put on the glue, the powder

Then I heated up (?) the mix of glue and powder with a special dryer in the shape of a pen and voilà !

Do you like our recycled paper invitations?

I wish you a wonderful week!
See you soon (well, I hope soon)
Kisses from Italy :-)
